Trade Digitization Infrastructure

LMS is paving the way to provide an infrastructure to facilitate the exchange of digital trade documents across our Brexit.Trade Gateways. All Contracting parties are members of the relevant Trade Gateway, and as such, are a closed Group of parties engaging in Trade. As such, in accruing transactions, electronic documents are created under multi-party contracts, between a closed group of parties engaged in trade, that agree to recognise them as having the same qualities as paper documents.

This addresses the “possession issue” with Trade Documents. The Parties agree that the electronic trade documents, will have the same legal function as their paper equivalents.

Digital Trade can help Address Issues Raised by Brexit

It’s estimated the digital economy accounted for 22.5 percent of worldwide GDP last year, and with significant challenges facing international travel for both people and goods, this is set only to grow.

There have recently been some significant moves by the UK to include digital trade elements in Post Brexit Trade Agreements, including deals with Australia, Singapore, Japan and New Zealand, with more in the pipeline.

Brexit has introduced barriers to Trade that have caused significant Disruption. Trade Digitization can help address many of these issues.

Brexit And Brexit.Trade Experts

Following Brexit, the UK can strike its own deals for buying and selling goods and services around the world. A Trade Agreement facilitates trade - usually in goods but sometimes in services too - by making it cheaper.

While the UK was an EU member, it was automatically part of around 40 trade deals which the EU had struck with more than 70 countries. Post Brexit, however, there is a need for the UK to be able to access markets that the UK has its own deals with. Trade Gateways are required for this to happen effectively. LMS operates Brexit.Trade as such a Trade Gateway. Trade Digitization can help address many Post Brexit Trade issues. LMS Also provides experts to assist with Post Brexit Trade As Detailed below.
